Over the last week, many of you have asked what is the thinking behind our EP. Just this once, we’ll tell you.

Girl Who Dropped the World is a collection of songs bringing together a few characters who hold all the potential but lack the character. The ‘Girl’ could open any door but is blinded to her options so is left static. All of the characters within this EP see their attributes become their undoing. Giving into lust, giving into impatience, guilt, denial or self-obsession. The songs provide a guide leading to the chance of something outside of ourselves, maybe something better. Moving from a state of ‘lostness’ into the greater unknown in the attempt to find clarity.

Anyone can find their way if they are prepared to open their eyes.

The EP was recorded in Hereford over 6 days. The limitations this causes have effected the sound. There is a sense of urgency permeating into the recordings; a live sound propelled by the rush. These songs were developed through lots of live shows in London over the last 12 months. We have tried to keep faithfully to their original sound and intention. Turn up and play, Last Go are.
